SIMON G. HANNING
Simon George Hanning, 78 years old, 926 north 20th Street, died in a Van Buren hospital Tuesday afternoon, April 16, 1963. He had been ill for only a few days.

His wife, Mrs. Winnie May Hanning died March 3, 1963.

Mr. Hanning was a member of the First Assembly of God church. He was a retired railroad and furniture factory employee.

Moving to Van Buren in 1903 he resided here permanently except for a short period of time spent in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

His children were:
Howard Adolf Hanning (1907-1913)
Edna Marian A Hanning (1909-1988)
Etta Lee Carrie Hanning (1911-1984)
Thell Gerald Hanning (1914-1994)
Thelma Grace Hanning (1914-1985)
Gladys Clara Hanning (1917-2002)
Esther Pauline Hanning (1920-2007)

Survivors are a son, five daughters, 18 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Assembly of God church. The pastor, Edwin Burris was assisted at the service by M. J. Harris and Ed Williamson.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home with burial in Dyer Cemetery in Crawford county, Arkansas.
