Dolores A. Collardey Vaughan, of Grand Blanc, age 90, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Brookdale Clare Bridge.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Father Steve Anderson officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

A Scripture Service will be held at 7PM Monday at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI. Mrs. Collardey will be at the church from 10:30AM Tuesday until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation, Gentiva Hospice or Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Dolores was born in Saginaw, MI on November 9, 1923, the daughter of the late George and Anna Boyer. On February 17, 1945 she married Claude Paul Collardey, and he passed away on November 25, 1985. She then married James Vaughan on May 12, 1992.

She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, she enjoyed volunteering at the church and Genesys. She loved to travel, going to casinos and she was an avid reader. Dolores and James spent many winters in Sun City, AZ.

Surviving are husband, James; children, Michele (Paul) Gagne, Dan Collardey, Tim (Elizabeth), Renee (Jeff) Coates, Colette Collardey, David Collardey and Chantal Simms; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three siblings. Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and the staff at Brookdale Senior Living.
