Marilyn M. Kehler, 79, of 620 W. Main St., Valley View, passed away Sunday. She died of a long illness with leukemia and complications.
She was the wife of Junior C. Kehler. The couple celebrated 62 years of marriage.
She was a daughter of the late Elmer E. and Mae Hauck Maurer.
She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins, where she was an organist for 52 years. She also was a member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens and was a pianist there.
She loved to travel, read, decorate and do crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three children, Rory S. and his wife, Marie Mullen, Herndon, Robert L., Owings Mills, Md., and his companion, Stephanie Lee, and Melissa G, wife of Samuel Zimmerman, Pitman; grandchildren, Mike and Megan Stehr Zimmerman, Tricia Zimmerman and Charlie Zimmerman, all of Pitman, Jennifer, wife of Nicholas Strauss, Loveland, Colo., Garret Kehler, Smithsburg, Md., Devon Kehler, Tucson, Ariz., and Anna Zischkau, Tempe, Ariz.; two step-grandchildren, Angie Sutton and Scott Ramer, Herndon; three great-grandchildren, Lorelei, Carynne and Noah Zimmerman, Pitman; a brother, Robert P. Maurer and his wife, Mary, Riverside Calif.; cousins, nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Muffin.
