Teresa went to Avon Community Schools from K through 12. She was always the tallest (or seemed to be) girl in our class. Our class was good at basketball with Teresa playing center and we won the powderpuff game all four years.

After high school, she went to college to become a nurse, a career she had decided upon a couple of years before graduating. She spent her life taking care of others. Those who worked with her would tell you that she was an excellent nurse and that she was a caring but yet fun person with an infectious smile.

Information from her obituary:

Teresa M. Truman Richardson, 57, of Speedway, Indiana, passed away on March 23, 2014 at a healthcare facility in Avon, Indiana. She was born on August 9, 1956 in Clinton, Indiana to Taylor and Andrea (Brown) Truman. Teresa was a graduate of Avon High School and later of Marian University. She served as a registered nurse for many years eventually retiring from LifeMasters. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ernest; daughter, Cassandra Pershing and son-in-law, Chase; grandson, Easton; brother, Tony Truman; sister, Tracie Perkins; nieces, Jessica and Andrea and nephew, Ethan. Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and a memorial service followed at 1:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway at 2950 N. High School Road, Speedway, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.

"Let It Be"
(lyrics copyrighted by Paul McCartney)

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Yeah there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be
Ah let it be, yeah let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music,
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Yeah let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah let it be
Oh there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah let it be
Oh there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Ah let it be, yeah let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
