Mr. Lane was a World War II veteran, protecting our freedom by serving in Europe from 1944 to 1946. He was a member of Carpenters Local 215 for 36 years. He will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and his country.
Surviving are his second wife, Rose Lane, of Okeechobee; two daughters, Shirley M. Hartwick and Mona L. Stokes, both of Lafayette; a son, James O. Lane of Overland Park, KS; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
