BOUNTIFUL - Kathleen Wilkinson Cline returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father January 24, 2004, on her 82nd birthday. She will be remembered as a wonderful loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.

Kathleen was born January 24, 1922, in Hoytsville, Utah, daughter of John Wilkinson and Alice Wood. Her youth was spent on a farm in Mountain Green, Utah where she learned the value of work. She was one of 10 brothers and sisters. She married Gerald E. Springer and was later divorced. She married Clarence St. Jeor and was later divorced. On November 2, 1961 she married R. Sterling Cline, her companion of 42 years. That marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She retired from Hill Air Force Base, where she worked as a computer programmer.

She was a compassionate woman and frequently demonstrated that with her love and concern shown for others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She was an avid reader and would often share stories with family members, complete with the appropriate sound effects. During numerous trips to the family cabin one could often find her playing games, feeding the wildlife, picking wild flowers, and having fun with the grandchildren. Members of her family will hold these memories dear. Blessed with a quick wit, she could always bring a smile.

She is survived by her husband, R. Sterling Cline; and seven children, Jeff (Vickie) Springer, Elaine (Alan) Mills, Dan (Mary) Springer, Diane Beasley, Sheri (Terry) Graham, Jill Hemsley (Mike), Brett (Kattia) Cline. Grandma was blessed with 27 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28th at 11 a.m. at the Val Verda 5th Ward Chapel, 2633 So. 50 W. Bountiful, Utah. Friends and Family may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. and Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
