Harvey Brightens Kurle, son of Jacob and Friedericka (Ritter) Kurle, was born east of Eureka on August 01, 1925. This is the area where he grew up and attended school. Harvey worked on the family farm for a few years. He served his country in the United States Army, being inducted May 22, 1945. In 1956, they moved into Eureka where they made their home. Harvey was employed as a semi driver for Wolff Company, Eureka Equity Exchange, and Schaeffer Manufacturing Company.
