Milton "Shorty" Bradley Sr., 58, husband of Annie Bell Pack Bradley, died Dec. 31, 2006, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 22, 1948, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Deacon Charlie and Irene Miller Bradley.
He attended the public schools of Sumter County and was employed as an auto body painter for more than 30 years at Jones Chevrolet Inc., T.A. Davis and Pro Glo, all of Sumter
Milton accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Grant Hill Baptist Church, where he served as an usher and a member of the trustee board.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife of more than 40 years, Annie B. Pack Bradley, his faithful caregiver; three daughters, Deborah (Klaus) Smalls of Columbia, Deloris (Calvin) Thompson of Charlotte, N.C., and Robin (Barrcary) Lane of Killeen, Texas; three sons, Milton Bradley Jr. and Michael Bradley, both of Sumter, and Rodney Bradley of Charlotte; three sisters, Nancy (Clifton) Mack of Philadelphia, Pa., Florence (Jack) Wilson and Francis Williams of Sumter; eight brothers, Charlie (Lula) Bradley Jr. of Bronx, N.Y., Eugene (Rosa) Bradley, Isaac (Blanche) Bradley, Elder Henry (Frances) Bradley, Alford Bradley, Raymond (Shirley) Bradley, John (Willie Mae) Bradley and Abraham Bradley, all of Sumter; 10 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Cora L. Pack of Sumter; two uncles; one aunt; eight sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; a daughter-in-law, Angela Bradley of Sumter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Hattie Miller; and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Carola Sanders Bradley.
Funeral services: Grant Hill Baptist Church, Rembert, with the Rev. Clifton N. Witherspoon, pastor, officiating, assisted by Elder Durant Jenkins, Minister Minnie Dennis and Minister R.L. Williams.
Burial: Grant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
