Longtime Cedar Rapids attorney, Silliman, Gray, and Stapleton. Keith was a WWII veteran and survivor of D Day plus one and the Battle of the Bulge, 1st Army, tank commander, under Generals Omar Bradley and Courtney Hodges. Featured in Caroline Kennedy's book on Privacy, Keith was active in Republican state politics for many years, he served as Asst Atty General in the 1950's and was chief counsel for the Iowa Dental Board. Keith was an outstanding high school quarterback gaining state notoriety and was recruited by USC, Notre Dame, and other schools, settling to play quarterback and kicker for the University of Minnesota under coach Bud Wilkinson whom came to personally recruit him. Keith travelled every county in Iowa and so loved the history and success of people in the state. His great uncle was the creator, Snick Hamlin, whom created the nationally syndicated cartoon strip, "Alley Oop", cartoon featuring a dinosaur.
