MISS CLAUSSEN DIES AT AGE 81
Miss Thekla E. Claussen, 81, 322 South Fulton St. died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, where she had been a patient since Monday April 25.
Miss Claussen was born April 25, 1902 at Clinton, Iowa and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Claussen.
A member of Faith Lutheran Church, Miss Claussen was a member of the church Altar Guild and the Ladies Aid Society.
She was a member of the Carthage Christian Women;s Association, the Jasper County Women's Democrat Association and was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working private duty in Joplin hospitals. Miss Claussen was a member of the Missouri LPN Association.
Survivors include a sister eta Clarice Young, 322 S. Fulton St. and seven nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. W. J. McGregor officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
