George F. Grover, Past District Deputy Grand Master, Died Sunday.

George F. Grover, well known Ripley farmer and prominent Odd Fellow and Dairymen's League man, died quite suddenly at his home on the West Main road, Sunday evening, following a heart attack.

Mr. Grover had been about as usual as late as Saturday, having carried the mail on Rural Route No. 2 all last week, and was downtown as late as Saturday evening. He was seized with his heart attack soon after returning home Saturday and passed away Sunday evening. He had been suffering from a heart ailment for some time and had suffered attacks on several occasions previous to the fatal one. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. Grover had been prominent in the affairs of the Odd Fellow Lodge of Ripley for many years, was a past grand and only a couple of years ago was District Deputy Grand Master of Chautauqua District No. 2, traveling all over the district installing staff of the previous District Deputy Grand Master, M. D. Conrath.

Mr. Grover had also been prominent in the work of the Dairymen's League for several years and at the time of his death was president of Quincy Local of the League.

Deceased is survived by his wife, Lulu Chace Grover, one daughter, Mrs. Arlett Raynor of Ravenna, Ohio; three sons, Major Orrin Grover of Nicholas Field, Philippine Islands; Lawrence, proprietor of the Red and White store in Ripley, and and Glenn, also of Ripley, three grandchildren also survive.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Delbert Jolley, and burial in Quincy Rural cemetery. The local Lodge of I. O. O. F. had charge of services at the graveside.

The bearers were selected from members of installing staff and were; D. P. Christy, A. R. Burnham, Frank Zohns, Llewellyn Rasey, Lloyd Stewart and Manley Ingham.
