FLORENCE ARA HARMON (Todd-Gordon), age 89, a homemaker (from Winchester, Tennessee), and a Cannon County native, died Saturday, May 22 (1993) at Methodist Hospital of Middle Tennessee (in Winchester, TN). She was the daughter of Levi Newton Todd and Nova Loudella Cooper and was a member of the Catholic faith. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Harmon Scharber (Mrs. Parker), of Winchester, Lou Harmon Hames (Mrs. Richard), of Shelbyville (Tennessee), and Wilma Harmon Salmon (Mrs. Joe E.) of Rome, Georgia, three sisters, Corgia Todd Davenport of Nashville, Euna Goff Todd Northcutt of Manchester and Edna Todd Lackie of Jackson, TN; three brothers, James Todd of Indiana, Dan Todd of McMinnville, and Carl Todd of Estill Springs, (TN) 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Church of the Good Shepherd with Father William Nolan officiating.

Two children were born to this couple; Omega Spain Gordon, born November 24, 1922, died February 10, 1924, and Ashley Newton Gordon, Sr., born February 24, 1926, in Nashville, TN, died November 10, 1987, in Houston, Texas. She was married second to Thomas Ira "T.I." Harmon, who was born February 7, 1885, in Maury County, Tennessee and died February 22, 1958, in Maury County, Tennessee. Thomas was the s/o Thomas and Susan Gray Harmon and they had one child, Nancy Anne Harmon, now Mrs. Parker Scharber.
