Information re: burial location and inscription
came from survey by Maggie Rail, 2001-2012
mrail.net/data/cemete/wash/
spokane/greenwood/index.htm
Additional information was taken from U.S. Census enumerations for 1910 and 1920 (widowed, living with family of married daughter (Matilda Garvin McCartney Gray) in Moran, Spokane, Washington;) and Washington State Death Records (showing middle initial to have been "K.")
Contributor #47172611 has suggested that Mr. Garvin was born March 8, 1840, in Magherafelt, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, that his middle name was "Creighton," and that he was the son of John Garvin (circa 1779-1881) and Matilda Garvin (dates unknown.)
No sources were provided, and I could find nothing to confirm the suggestions. (In any event, the memorial for Mrs. Gavin appears to be a "plop," based on the assumption that she must be buried in the same cemetery where her husband has what appears to be a cenotaph.)
