Lee Laverne Biesecker, age 76, of Grand Junction passed away in the morning of Tuesday, November 17, 2009.

Lee was born July 31, 1933 in Eau Claire, WI, to Claude McKinley and Thelma Louise Granger Biesecker. He spent his childhood and graduated from high school in Eau Claire. Lee was married to Mary Jane Kalanquin on May 9, 1953.

He served in the Wisconsin National Guard at Camp McCoy in Eau Claire and at Camp Ripley in MN for nine years as a Corporal in Company B, 128th Infantry.

Soon after marriage, Lee had been a foreman at American Motors and then he purchased and operated Lee's Standard Service Station in Kenosha, WI. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge #112 in Eau Claire.

Lee also loved to come to Colorado hunting with friends, even getting a bear on one trip. Lee enjoyed Colorado so much that he and Mary moved themselves and four children to Grand Junction, CO in 1969. He was the previous owner of Trade Center Auto Salvage in Grand Junction, CO. Lee was a member of the First Congregational Church.

He had many hobbies and joys that included hunting, fishing, sports activities, Nascar, modified stock cars, having coffee with his buddies in Grand Junction and also "Loved Nevada", spending time in Laughlin, Nevada.

Lee was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who touched our hearts in so many ways. He will be missed deeply by everyone whose lives he had touched.

Lee is survived by his wife, Mary Biesecker, of Grand Junction, CO; two sons, Ricky Lee Biesecker, of Grand Junction, and Patrick (Emily) Biesecker, of Dewey, AZ; two daughters, Rosemarie Ann (Steve) Sall, of Castle Rock, CO and Judith Lynn Biesecker, of Grand Junction; two sisters, Beverly (Gay) Gerike and Diane (Tom) Huhane; two brothers, Harvey Biesecker and Keith Yeager; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
