Salvatore Joseph Costa, 79, died April 17, 2000, in Victor Valley Community Hospital in Victorville. Born in New Jersey, he lived in Victorville for 12 years. He was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation. Survivors include his son Jack of Bufford, Ga.; daughter Virginia Tucker and her husband, Bob of Hesperia; granddaughters Shana Hogan of Victorville and Robin Costa; and grandsons Bobby Tucker Jr. of Hesperia, J.J. Jack Joseph Costa Jr. and Tony Costa. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Desert View Mortuary in Victorville, where a rosary will begin at 7 p.m., and a service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, with Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church officiating.
