Dr. Joseph Rosenfield Wiseman, 86, of 1515 Meadowbrook Drive, an allergy specialist, died yesterday at a local nursing home. A life resident of Syracuse, Dr. Wiseman was a 1902 Harvard graduate and a 1906 graduate of Syracuse University Medical College. He was a member of Nu Sigma Nu, a medical fraternity. He had offices at 1938 E. Genesee St. He was on the staff of Memorial and St. Joseph's Hospitals. Dr. Wiseman was a professor emeritus at Syracuse University Medical College. He was a member of the American Medical Association and a past president of the Onondaga County Medical Association. He was a member of the American College of Physicians, the Jacobson Elsner Medical Club, Temple Society of Concord and the Jewish Community Center. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Irene McCormick Wiseman; two sons, Nathan J. and Gerald N. Wiseman of Rochester; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Firensdorf Room of the Temple Society of Concord, Rabbis Benjamin Friedman and Theodore Levy officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Fairchild and Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd. E. Contributions may be made to MEDICO through CARE.
