Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Union LDS ward chapel for Mrs. Melissa V. Griffin, 73, Sacramento, Cal., who died Thursday in the California city of a heart attack.
Burial will be in the family plot in Murray city cemetery.
Friends may call at 372 East First south street Saturday and Sunday until noon and for 30 minuted prior to services at the chapel.
A resident of Salt Lake City for 40 years, Mrs. Griffin moved to Sacramento one year ago.
Mrs. Griffin was born at the old Union Fort, Utah, October 6, 1887, a daughter of Peter and Eliza Burgess Van Valkenburg.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. J. R. Miller, of Sacramento, Cal.; Mrs. C. J. Coughlan of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. V. R. Evans of New Castle, Pa., and Mrs. William Handley of Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
