Mrs. Green died Tuesday, Nov. 18, at home. She was 80.

She was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Hunter, Ky., to Elbert and Dollie Pratt. She was one of 13 children. She married Curtis Lee Sizemore in 1942. Curtis was killed during World War II after six weeks of marriage. She married Lonnie McCray Green on July 14, 1945. She worked for the Long Beach Veteran's Hospital as a nurse's aide for several years. She moved to Nevada City in 1978, where she built or remodeled six homes. She also did home nursing. She enjoyed quilting, furniture restoration, sewing, gardening, canning and her family.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Adria and Dick Corn of Grass Valley and Kim and Mike Davis of Nevada City; daughter, Alice Turney of Roseville; son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie Jr. and Doris Green of Nevada City; grandchildren Jeffrey Turney of San Francisco, Emily Turney of Davis, Kristen Whitcomb of Huntington Beach, Samantha Corn of Grass Valley, and Tyler Green, Luke Davis and Daniel Green, all of Nevada City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie McCray Green Sr., in 1976.
