Jennifer Rae Craig 39, of Noel, MO, passed away on March 21st at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, AR after a long and complicated journey with Juvenile diabetes.

Jennifer was born on July 30, 1974 in Jay, OK to Gary and Anita Gilgen. Jennifer attended Noel Elementary before moving with her parents to Inverness, FL where she attended high school. After high school Jennifer and parents moved back to Noel, MO where Jennifer attended nursing school at Crowder College in Neosho, MO and obtained her RN license. After nursing school Jennifer went to work at the hospital in Gravette, AR until the hospital closed. Shortly thereafter Jennifer worked at both Mercy Hospital in Rogers, AR and Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO until her illness forced her to retire in January 2013.

Jennifer enjoyed spending time with her family, her four dogs and her best friend, David Craig of Gravette, AR.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her brother Mark Dean Gilgen of Noel, MO. She is survived by parents Gary and Anita Gilgen of Noel, MO; an uncle who resided in the household growing up, Jody Gilgen and wife Shelly of Southwest City, MO; two brothers, Steve Gilgen and wife Elissa of Hayesville, NC and Judd Gilgen and wife Kristy of Rogers, AR; a sister Angie Thornton and husband Michael of Noel, MO; twelve nieces and nephews and her four dogs which she loved like children.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Southwest City, MO on Tuesday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Grimm officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Southwest City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to your local Humane Society chapter.
