HUNTER - Charles Albert Wilkins, 80, died at his home in Hunter Friday of causes incident to age.
A son of Charles and Ury Welch Wilkins, he was born in South Cottonwood December 14, 1861. Mr. Wilkins lived in Salt Lake County all his life and in Hunter 47 years. For 60 years he was owner and operator of threshing machines and is said to have owned the first such machine in this section. Mr. Wilkins was a high priest in the Hunter LDS Ward.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Ida Smith Wilkins of Hunter, he is survived by four sons, Seth, Frank, Elwood and Rodney Wilkins, all of Hunter; three daughters, Mrs. Ella Perkins of Magna, Mrs. Ida Davis and Mrs. Gladys Davis, both of Hunter; two brothers, Ruben and Andrew Wilkins, both of Ucon, Idaho, two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Randall of Coltman, Idaho, and Mrs. Harriet Severson of Midvale; 36 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Mon.day at 1 p.m. in the Hunter LDS ward chapel by Bishop Ernest E. Nielson.
Friends may call at 36 East Seventh South street, Salt Lake City, until Sunday evening and at the family residence in Hunter Monday from 9 a.m. until time of services.
