Peter "Pete" W. Bergman, 63, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away after a short illness at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was born in Gladwin, Michigan on September 12, 1950, the son of David & Belva (Murphy) Bergman. On September 19, 2002, he married Rose Polega in Midland, Michigan. Pete was supervisor for the City of Beaverton for several years and had a great love for his family, believing that family always comes first. He loved the outdoors, whether it was spending time on his property or hunting and fishing. He also loved animals, especially his faithful companion "Tanner." Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Rose Bergman of Beaverton; son: David (Ashley) Bergman of Sanford; Jeremy (Mandi) Bergman of Beaverton; step-daughters: Mandi (George) Horning of Westland; Misti (Craig) Card of San Diego, California; grandchildren: Garrett, Logan, Gracelynn, Danielle & Bradley; step-grandchildren: Zachary, Caleb & Christian; mother: Belva Govitz of Beaverton; his dog: Tanner. He is preceded in death by his father: David Bergman; brother: James Bergman.
