Charles Freeman Crowell, Sr., Sept. 20, 1941-June 30, 2012, resident of San Jose, also known as Chuck, entered into rest in San Jose, CA. Chuck was born in Glendale, CA. and moved to San Jose in 1957. He graduated from Camden High School in 1959. That same year he enlisted in the US Navy. In 1967 he joined the San Jose Police Reserves until he retired in 2003. He continued to work as a security officer until April 2012. He loved spending time visiting with his family and friends, traveling to Hawaii and Viet Nam, and writing his autobiography. Chuck is survived by his wife, Duy Tuyet; his children Terry (Marty), Charles, Jr, (Marina), Todd, and Renee (Frank) and grandchildren,Christopher, Caden, Eric, Marissa, Sophia, Samantha, Sheila, Nathaniel, Skylar, Angelica, Andrew and Frankie. Also by his brothers, Dick, Russ, Glenn and Brian, sister-in-laws, cousins and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 5-9 p.m. and the funeral service on Saturday, July 7, at 11 a.m. at the chapel listed below.
