Derby, Sr., Roscoe "Ross" M., 86, of New Martinsville, WV formerly of Paden City, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling.

"Ross" was born September 12, 1927 in Youngstown, OH son of the late Vern O. and Lucy Alice Ingram Derby.

He was a retired truck driver for the WV Dept. of Highways and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sons, Theodore Butler, Danny Derby and Josh Derby.

Surviving are four sons, Dusty (Linda) Derby of Smithfield, WV, Jim (Patty) Derby of California, Tim (Connie) Paugh of Middlebourne, WV and Rick (Peggy) Miller of Wellsburg, WV; six daughters, Dottie (John) Davis of Pennsylvania, Robin Paugh of Florida, Sandy (Eddie) Brown of New Martinsville, WV, Debbie (Irvin Loy) Derby of New Martinsville, WV, Natasha (Bob) Star of Marietta, OH and Miranda (John) Bigler of Marietta, OH; thirty-one grandchildren and forty-nine great grandchildren.

Friends received noon until time of service at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City.

Interment to follow in the Garrett Cemetery near Reader, WV.
