He was a longtime Quincy resident, moving there from Ireland when he was about a year old. He married Mary Brown on Aug. 21, 1904, at St. John the Baptist Church in Quincy. They briefly lived in Somerville after they married.

For many years he was an iron worker in Quincy. He was employed by the Quincy DPW when he died.

He was survived by daughters Margaret E. Malone, of Mattapan, and Florence A. Lucia, of Medford, as well as a son, Daniel J. Sullivan, also of Medford. He also had 2 children that died young. His wife also preceded him in death.

Interred on the 15th, with a High Mass of Requiem held at Sacred Heart Church.
