Helen Armstrong, of Pennsylvania Avenue Extension, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at home. She was 85.

Born August 15, 1928, she was a daughter of the late John Danver and Olive Phillips Danver Shuman. She had worked for the Columbiana County Senior Aide Program where she had been associated with Catholic Services and the Community Resource Center. She was a lifelong member of the Etruria Street Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine "Kathy" Potts, along with 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Joyce Dozier of the Wilmington, Ohio area, and Jill Cronin, and her husband Jim, of Lisbon, as well as a son, Joseph E. Armstrong of East Liverpool.

There are 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
