William Robert Bollinger, 81, of Butler passed away Thursday at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1932, in Brackenridge, the son of the late Earl and Olive (Street) Bollinger.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.
He worked for Pullman Standard for 19 years and then retired from Seybert's Garage. He was a member of the Freeport VFW.
Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles, building model airplanes, fishing, and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his three daughters, Jean Walter of Butler, Linda (Butch) Stock of Renfrew and Georgia (William) Krause of Butler; his four sons, William J. (Wendy) Bollinger of Lusby, Md., John (Andrea) Bollinger of Xenia, Ohio, Russell (Rebecca) Bollinger of California, Md., and Scott (Michele) Bollinger of Porter, Ind.; his 13 grandchildren; his three great-grandchildren; his brother, Harry (Doris) Bollinger of Freeport; and several nieces and nephews.
Bollinger - The friends of William Robert Bollinger, who passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 until the time of the service at 8 p.m.
