Martha was born in Dublin, PA to the late Erwin & Cora (Alderfer) Shelly.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. From 1970-1974, Martha worked in the dietary department at Doylestown Hospital. She worked alongside her husband as owners of Heacock Lumber & Saw Mill in Plumsteadville, PA. Martha also volunteered her time at Rockhill Mennonite Community making beds.
She was a member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church where she formerly served as a Children's Sunday School teacher and a Girl's Club leader. Martha was a very Godly woman, encouraging others and was a good Christian example for her family. Cooking delicious family meals, gardening and traveling with her husband were activities she enjoyed.
Martha is survived by two sons, Duane Hunsberger & wife, Karen of Telford, PA, Glen Hunsberger of Hollywood, FL; a daughter, Dawn (David) Miller & husband, David of Hesperia, CA; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Marie Bishop of Souderton, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Lee Hunsberger; two sisters, Florence Landis & Mildred Derstine and two brothers, Earl & Victor Shelly.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, Pennsylvania 18911. Burial will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
