Stonefort-Carl Jeff Stokes, 71, passed away at 1:23am on Friday, March 21, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Jeff was born on June 13, 1942 in Williamson County to Carl Ralph and Violet (Marks) Stokes. He was raised by his step father Nople Segers. He married Deloris Beasley on November 7, 1962 in Marion, Kentucky. She survives of Stonefort.

Jeff worked for Shamrock Mining Supply for many years and was the former owner of C.O. Mini Market in Crab Orchard. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping and motor cycle riding. Jeff was a deacon and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He will be missed by all.

Survivors include: Wife-Deloris Stokes of Stonefort, Son-Dewayne & Barbara Stokes of Harrisburg, Daughters: Tina Bruckman of Stonefort, Beth & Ronnie Harris of Stonefort, Grandchildren:Tyson & Patty Stokes, Den Den & Joanie Crites,
Heather Bruckman-Kahoun, Kaley Harris, Great grandchildren: Gabriel Kahoun, Trenton Kahoun, Lexi Crites, Billy Headrick, Shadoe Bonin, Colton Stokes, Sisters: Mary & Charles Phillips, Sandy & Steve Crain, Aunt-Irene Gurley, Several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Nople; two sisters, Louis Holmes and Violet Lea Smith and infant brother, Wilson Eugene Stokes.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Matt Troxel and Rev. Chris Cutsinger officiating. Burial will follow at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
