Mrs. Sara Jane Barnett Henderson, age 80, of the Pennville Community, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Henderson was born in DeKalb County, Alabama on June 17, 1933, daughter of the late Clifford Barnett and Maggie Sue Seymore Barnett. She was a member of the Pennville Missionary Alliance Church, the Best Silver Club, and prior to retirement was employed in the Sewing Plant at Best Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Henderson, a son, Donnie Henderson, an infant son, and a great granddaughter, Shawna McNeese.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Rita Henderson of Summerville; daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn and Mickey Silvers and Lori Westbrooks all of Summerville; brother, Charles Barnett of Griffin, GA; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and an number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Henderson will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Rickey Biddle officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ken Anderson, Will McNeese, Bobby Spear, Terry Cook, Kyle Spear, and Eugene Cordell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mickey Silvers, Rickey Silvers and the Retirees from Best Manufacturing Sewing Plant.
Mrs. Henderson will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
