Mrs. Ada Blanch Szerokman, 64, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Cannelton, W.Va., died Jan. 23, 1992, at home after a long illness. She was a native of Pond Gap and a 25-year resident of Akron. She was a homemaker and a member of Apostolic Temple, Akron. Surviving: one son; brothers, Elmer Johnson of London, W.Va., Irvin Johnson of Akron, Robert Johnson of Belva, W.Va.; sisters, Theressa Powers of London, Maggie Anderson and Rebecca Bowling, both of Charleston, W.Va., Lucy Kytle of Lake Wales, Fla., Christine Brown of Indore, W.Va., Phyllis Nichols of Lockwood, W.Va.; one grandson. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ, Smithers, with the Rev. Joseph Mead, the Rev. Don Mead and the Rev. Don Canteburry officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar Grove, W.Va., and one hour prior to service.
