Richard D. Ridenour, 66, of Richmond, died Thursday, April 13th at Fieldcrest Manor Nursing Home in Waldoboro.
Richard was born on April 17th, 1939, the son of Newell and Helen (Moode) Ridenour. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960 and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1962 and remained in the Navy until his retirement in 1982. After his retirement from the military he worked at Bath Iron Works.
Richard was a member of the AF & AM in Bowdoinham, Merrymeeting Armature Radio Club, and the VP-23 Association.
Richard was predeceased by his parents and his son Tony in 1992.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife Kitty; his sons Derrick and his wife Jennifer of Richmond, and Charles and his wife Patty of Richmond; brother Edwin of Alabama; sisters (should be brothers) Clair and Lynn of Iowa; and grandchildren Nicholas and Olivia of Richmond.
There will be a memorial for Richard at a future date in Davenport Iowa.
