Services for Mr. Glenn Hudson, age 77, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Damascus Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mr. Hudson died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his residence in Lindale. He was born in Cullman, Alabama on September 10, 1936 to the late John Paul and Maggie Matilda (Armstrong) Hudson and was formerly of Baytown and Longview, Texas before moving to Lindale in 1984. Mr. Hudson worked as an electrical contractor owning and operating Hudson Electrical Contractors in Baytown and Hudson Southeast Electric in Longview. In 1987, he went to work as the maintenance manager for the Brookshire Warehouse in Tyler. He was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Glenn Hudson on August 28, 2002; granddaughter, Brooklyn Hudson; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his 3 sons, Tim Hudson of Longview, Texas, Michael Hudson of Lindale, Texas and Jonathan Hudson of Lindale, Texas; daughter, Kay Kraft of Tyler, Texas; 2 sisters, Flora Glasscock of Alabama and Oneari Walker of Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Gouldthorpe, Gary Foster, Steve Hendrix, Jeff Prewitt, Michael Sammons and Ken Reeves.
