LAURA KLANN

Our beloved mother, Laura M. Klann, age 87, of Pioneer Village in Appleton, formerly of Reedsville, passed away on March 12, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1918, in Baileys Harbor, Door County, daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Wellever) Copiskey. She married Erwin Klann in 1936.

Laura farmed with her husband until his death in 1978. She was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville and volunteered at the Brown County Curative Rehabilitation Workshop. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, was devoted in reading the scripture and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Laura is survived by her children: Patricia (Earl) Ploeckelmann of Potter; Michael (Barbara) Klann of Reedsville; Jacqueline (James) Klimaszewski of Appleton; Penelope (More) Weiss of Phelan, Calif.; Dan (Marybeth) Klann of Green Bay; Ernest (Annita) Klann of Reedsville; Pamela (Richard) Niehueser of Fond du Lac; Linda (Todd) Reschke of De Pere; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister: Eleanor Baum, of Kewaunee and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Vera (Bob) Boullack of Manitowoc.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978, an infant son: Harold; four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2006, at St. Johns St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville with the Rev. Timothy Nommensen officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 and then at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to extend a thank you to St. Elizabeth Hospital for their excellent care and to all the people at Pioneer Village and her special friend, Al.
