Carol R. Puckett, age 63, died Thurs., March 20, 2014 at her home in Miltonvale, KS. She was born on Aug. 12, 1950 at Concordia, KS to Leo & Dora Mae "Mae" (Couture) LeDuc.
Carol attended country grade school and graduated from Jamestown High School. She then received her Bachelor's degree from Marymount College, Salina. Carol taught kindergarten at Blue Rapids before moving to Miltonvale and teaching second grade from 1979 to 2004. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, KS & NE Radio Club & Abate of Kansas. Carol was an avid artist and enjoyed creating different works of art. Her life and passion has always been her students and teaching.
She is survived by her husband, Jon, Miltonvale; brother, Larry LeDuc & wife Pat, Jamestown; sisters, Sister Janet LeDuc, C.S.J., Goodland & Diane Nelson, Concordia & niece, Lori LeDuc, Jamestown & several family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Puckett, parents & brother-in-law, Ron Nelson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Tues. March 25 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Miltonvale with Rev. Larry Grennan officiating. Burial will follow at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale. Visitation will be from 10 am to 9 pm with family greeting from 6-8 pm and a Vigil and Rosary at 7 pm on Mon, March 24 all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
