Margaret W. Rose, age 90, of Shelton entered into her eternal rest on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Rose.

Mrs. Rose was born in Bridgeport on April 20, 1923, daughter of the late David and Robina (Wason) Wilson, and was a Stratford resident for many years before moving to Shelton over 45 years ago. She was a founding member of the Huntington United Methodist Church and Susanna Wesley Nursery School. She had a long career at the school where she was an aide, a teacher, an assistant director. Her career spanned 45 years until her retirement last week. She was very active in the United Methodist Women's Organization, volunteered at the Spooner House, My Sister's Place, and was named a Woman of Substance by the CT Post.

She is the beloved mother of Robin Maceyunas and her husband Paul, Sandra Picard and her husband David, Susan Nelthropp, Jennifer Dancho, and Robert Rose and his wife Tina. She also leaves nine loving grandchildren, five cherished great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Trisko and a grandson.

Friends may greet her family on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Saturday, friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Huntington United Methodist Church, 338 Walnut Tree Hill Road, Shelton. Her Burial will take place in the spring in Lawn Cemetery.

At the request of her family memorial contributions may be made to Susanna Wesley Nursery School, 338 Walnut Tree Hill Road, Shelton, CT 06484.
