Daniel Birkholz Dies After A long Illness
Daniel Birkholz, 77, Reedsville, passed away at his home at 8 o'clock Thursday morning following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Lutheran church, the Rev. H.W. Koch officiating. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery.

The deceased was born March 21, 1857 in Germany. He came to America with his parents at the age of 10 and settled on a farm north of Reedsville. Twenty-nine years ago he moved into Reedsville. Mr. Birkholh (sic) was married twice. The first time to Bertha Jantz, who died in 1903. He then married Mrs. Emma Mueller, widow of William Mueller, August 31, 1908.

Survivors besides the widow are: four sons, August of West Bend, William of Reedsville and Leonard and Albert of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Danning and Mrs. Herman Wille of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Gust Prochnow of Reedsville; five step-sons, Emil Mueller of Antigo, William Mueller of Darlington, Julius Mueller of San Francisco, Arthur Mueller of Manitowoc and Clarence Mueller of Two Rivers; a step daughter, Elsie Mueller at home; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Boettcher of Medford, Mrs. Bertha Porath of Wausau, and Mrs. Joseph Hodak(sic) of Milladore; three brothers, August of Reedsville, Emil of Bonduel, and William of Wausau; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
