He left school to be a contractor, and married Emma Warner in Minneapolis on December 31, 1884. Unfortunately, Emma died on November 4, 1888, in Minneapolis. Aaron had been hired by the Minneapolis Police Department on June 28, 1887, and assigned to the Central Station. On September 4, 1890, Aaron married Mattie Davidson in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. That year, Aaron was transferred to the 5th Precinct.
Mattie died on February 2, 1893. On May 8, 1895, Aaron married Hattie Berry in Minneapolis.
In 1900, Aaron and Hattie were living with their daughter Hazel, on Blaisdell in south Minneapolis. Also living with them were Hattie's parents, Luther and Ann, and Aaron's mother, Margaret. By 1910, Aaron and Hattie had two daughters, and Aaron had been promoted to Sergeant.
By 1920, they were living in Tonkawood, Aaron had retired from the department, and was working for Hennepin County as a Child Protection Agent. On May 27, 1927, Aaron died in Hopkins, Minnesota. Hattie lived until February 8, 1939, when she died in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
Aaron and all three of his wives are buried at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
