Ms. Haynes was born Aug. 7, 1928, in Hope, Ark. She was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Polly Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Prince Albert Haynes; one son, Stacy Lane Haynes; one daughter, Wilma Haynes-Harmon; and one stepson, James Willie Haynes.
Survivors include one daughter, Era Moore-Collins of Rosharon; two stepchildren, Vern Haynes and Lady Prince Cobb of Paso Robles, Calif.; one son-in-law, Sterling Harmon of Houston; one daughter-in-law, Marilyn Haynes of Houston; four grandchildren, Adolphus Carter, Kenya McGary, Princeton Haynes and Quinton Haynes; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Haynes Mortuary with the Rev. Louie B. George Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
