Mrs. Crippen had been ill for several years. She was born in Crawford-co and had been an honorary member of the Lima Literary guild; a pioneer member of the Woman's Benefit-assn, and was one of the oldest members of the First Baptist church.
She was married to Charles Crippen in 1880. He died in 1938.
Surviving in addition to her daughter are a nephew, Warren Parmenter, 1556 W. High-st, and two nieces, Mrs. Leslie Reid, 430 S. Cole-st, and Mrs. A. W. Sanders, Indianapolis.
The body will remain at the Chiles and Son funeral home for services at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel. The Rev. Howard E. Bloom will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carey May, Van Campbell, Robb Meilly, Clyde Troutman, Lloyd Bradley and Lee Rusk.
