William Henderson, son of William Henderson and Susan Florence Kearns, married Agnes (Nancy) Johnston. They had 7 children.

William Henderson wrote his will in Mecklenburg Co, NC on 8 Oct 1777 and it was proven 22 Oct 1777. In it he named his wife and all of his children.

Sometime between 1778 and 1800, the children of William and Nancy Agnes Johnston Henderson migrated from Mecklenburg Co, NC to Blount Co, TN. Brothers Alexander, Joseph, John and William Henderson and brother-in-law, John Tedford, were in the 1800 - 1801 Blount Co, TN Tax Lists; Alexander Henderson is mentioned in an 1807 land grant and Francis Henderson is mentioned in a May 1819 land transaction.

The location of William's grave is unknown, however, he was probably buried in Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery #01, where his brother Cairns Henderson is buried.
