Altoona Tribune, Wednesday, February 22, 1933, p. 10:

Allen Kephart died at his home in Frankstown township, Tuesday afternoon, at 12:30 o'clock of complications. He was born in 1846, a son of Jacob and Rebecca Kephart. He was never married and lived his entire life on the homestead farm where he was born, engaging in farming and the manufacture of lumber. He was well known in the community and was a frequent visitor in Altoona and Hollidaysburg where he marketed his products until recent years when, on account of physical disability, he retired from active life.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Kate Merritts and Mrs. Henrietta Mountain, Frankstown, and Mrs. Sarah Treese, Duncansville, as well as a number of nephews and nieces.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home of Creamer and Van Allman in Hollidaysburg, Friday, February 24, at 2:30 p.m. The place of interment will be announced later.
