Steven Dwight Burkhart, 62, Dover, Tenn., died at 11:44 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, following a long illness.
A memorial service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with Richard Stanley officiating.
There will be no visitation.
King's Funeral Home, Cadiz, is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Clarksville, he was born Oct. 22, 1951, the son of Myrtle A. Tourtlott, Cadiz, and the late C.L. Burkhart Jr.
He was an electrician, a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and was a Methodist.
In addition to his mother, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Stephanie) LaRocque, Clarksville, and Mrs. Kurt (Cynthia "Cindy") Braun, Attalla, Ala.; a sister, Evelyn W. Watkins, Alpharetta, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
