Benjamin Chad Hawkins, 36, husband of Robin Ensley Hawkins, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

Born March 19, 1978 in Greenville County, he was the son of Benjamin Terry and Nancy Young Hawkins. Chad was a 1996 graduate of Pickens High School and attended USC Upstate. He was the owner and operator of Palmetto State Metal Roofing. An avid outdoors man, he loved to rabbit hunt, fish and play baseball with his son Carter. Chad shared his birthday with his daughter Reese, and they had a special bond only a father and daughter could have. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents and wife of thirteen years, he is survived by his son, Benjamin Carter Hawkins; daughter, Caroline Reese Hawkins; and sister, Mandy Hawkins Lamb (Russell).

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2014 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.

The family is at the home.
