Judy Kay Hansen, 54, of Redfield, SD, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield. Her funeral was Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Redfield. Reverend Brian Wasmoen officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen. The family prefers memorials that will be directed to Community Memorial Hospital. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Judy was born November 4, 1959 at Huron, SD to Elmer and Lila (LaBrie) Hansen. She attended Turton School for a few years and then Doland High School, graduating in 1978. She graduated from Northern State University with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. She started working for Spink County Equipment in 1983. She met Dave Taylor while working for John Deere and they lived together for thirty years east of Redfield. Judy continued working for Spink County Equipment, later becoming RDO Equipment, until ill health forced her to retire.

Judy enjoyed baking, watching the Minnesota Twins, her pets, helping at Relay for Life and camping. Her pride and joy was her son Colton and following his activities was her favorite past-time.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Judy is survived by her long time companion Dave Taylor and their son Colton (Colette Steiner); her bonus family: Jeremy (Melissa) Taylor of Redfield and their children: Abigail and Braiden; and Kristina (Tony) Rieffenberger of Watertown and their twins William and Izabel. Judy is also survived by her mother Lila Hansen of Turton; her brothers and sisters: Larry (Linda Griffiths) Hansen of Warner; Linda Hansen of Warner; Harley Hansen of Turton; Rod (Carrie) Hansen of Turton; Brian (Jill DeWitte) Hansen of Redfield and Keith (Stephanie) Hansen of Redfield and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Elmer and her niece Jocelyn.
