Mr. Lee Edward Harrison, 61, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, died on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his home in Rocky Mount, N.C.
Mr. Lee Edward Harrison, was born on September 14, 1952 in Nash County, North Carolina to the late James and Kattie Harrison.
He attended Nash County Public Schools. He was employed at Boddie Noell Enterprise for thirty-one years. Lee enjoyed working there, and making many lasting friendships.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Lillie Harrison; and one son, Lee Harrison, Jr.
Lee leaves to cherish his memory: one foster-son, Tony Battle; six sisters, Mary Frances Pittman, Dorothy Marshburn both of Rocky Mount, NC, Brenda Edwards (John) of Nashville, NC, Katie Leonard (Charles) Eleanor White (Ernie) and Virginia Williams (Kerry) all of Rocky Mount, NC; one brother, James Marshman (Sheila) of Cleveland, OH, three sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law all of Florida, six nieces, eight nephews, six aunts, a special friend, Shirelle Brown and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Visitation for Mr. Harrison will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., on Friday, March 7, 2014, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. Marks AME Church in Rocky Mount, N.C. The Interment will take place immediately after the Service, in Baker's Cemetery in Rocky Mount, N.C.
