--Occupation: He had a long career with Southern Bell in Raleigh and later in Charlotte, retiring in 1983 as District Manager of Program Planning, with 35 years service.
--He married Minnie Howard in 1953. They had 3 children: Mark, Cynthia, and Cassandra. 3 grandchildren.
--active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He served as Deacon, Elder, Clerk of Session, and Trustee.
