Artemis Emery Biddlecome, eldest son of John and Mary Jane (Dawson) Biddlecome was born Dec 2, 1878, near Sarcoxie, Mo, and departed this life at a nursing home in Nevada, Mo, June 4, 1964 at the age of 85 years young.
He was united in marriage in 1889 near Sarcoxie, Mo to Laura Ann McDaniel daughter of George W. McDaniel and Abigail Immell McDaniel. They were parents of 3 children, Ralph E., Ray, and Faye, while living in Mc Clune, Kansas.
He is preceded in death by one son, Ray Theodore, who died in 1903 at 2 years of age. His wife Laura passed away in 1956.
Art was saved at a early age, uniting with the the Oak Grove Baptist Church over 38 years ago.
In 1920 he moved his family to Vernon County, Missouri, living the remainder of his life in the Harwood, Shell City vicinity last owning a home in ElDorado Springs before going to the rest home.
Surviving, his daughter, Faye Majersky, Independence, Mo; his son Ralph (Grace) Biddlecome, four grand children; nine great grand children, other siblings, relatives and friends.
Services were held at the Janssens Chapel in El Dorado Springs at 2 o'clock Sunday, June 7, with Bro Walter Martin officiating. Two musical selections were rendered by Mrs Marvalene Dennis and Mrs Ruth Brown.
Pallbearers: Lester Barkers, C. J. Hamby, Harry Cook, B. H. Hamby, Albert Stark, and George Jackson.
Burial in the Lefler Cemetery, Harwood, Missouri beside his loving wife Laura.
