Leon Sherd Wright, 72, of Vidor, Texas, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital Sunday March 16, 2014.

A native of Kirbyville, Texas, Leon worked as a self employed carpenter. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Wright is preceded in death by his parents Everett Sherd and Mary Maxine Maddox Wright.

Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Joanna Kay Gibson Wright; sons Glenn Wright, Thomas Gonzales and Dave Gonzales; daughters Rhonda Snider, Tammy Wiggins, Kimberly Wright, Theresa Nolan, and Sabrina Smith; brothers Bill Wright and Gerald Wright; sister Mary Stevens and eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and friends.
