MARY F. NORSIGIAN

Born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to Antonio and Maria Faria on January 31, 1921. Mary came to the United States at the age of one and a half years old.

She went to grammar school in Tulare, CA and graduated from Tulare High School. Mary was very active in sports and was a member of the Tulare Drill Team. She worked for Montgomery Wards Department Store and met her husband Norris during World War II and was married in August of 1943, and moved to Fresno, CA where she became a bookkeeper for Norsigian Bros.

Mary was Treasurer of the Business Women's Association and volunteered at Saint Agnes Medical Center for several years. She was an avid golfer and her lowest HDC was a six and played in many tournaments all over California, Reno and the Bahamas. She was Rules Chairman for the PWGA for four terms.

After her husband's death in August of 2002, she moved to Clovis, CA and volunteered at Clovis Community Medical Center until her health made her retire. Her most cherished times were spent with her grandchildren and later with great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them play sports and taking them out to lunch. She was very proud of all her grandchildren and her family and relatives.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Linda Vitucci for all of her loving care of our mother.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Norris Norsigian, and she was the last of her immediate family.

She is survived by her son, Rick Norsigian and his wife Pam; daughter, Florine Lacy and her husband Robert "Bud"; five grandchildren, Karlene Norsigian, Shelly Roach and her husband Brian, John Norsigian and his wife Amy, Dan Lacy and his wife Carolyn, and Don Lacy; eight great-grandchildren, Dustin and Ragan Lacy, Ashleigh and Taylor Carter, Teagan and Tanner Roach, Alessa Norsigian and Gaetano Mazzotti; and one great-great grandchild Bella.
