Margaret D. "Peg" Lombard, 92, of Fort Myers Beach, FL passed away March 16, 2014 at her residence. She had been a permanent resident of Fort Myers Beach since 1982, coming from Pittsburgh, PA. Margaret was born June 1, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of the late John E. and Ruth Emily (Keller) Deary.

Mrs.. Lombard was a faithful parishioner of The Church of the Ascension where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and an active volunteer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She also volunteered with the Neonatal Unit at Lee Memorial HealthPark. Her greatest contribution, however, was the love and devotion she gave to her family.

Peg is survived by her loving children, Patricia Poulsen of Squaw Valley, CA, Carole Lombard of Corte Madera, CA, Edward Lombard of Fort Myers Beach, FL, and Dr. William Lombard of Bellingham, WA; grandchildren, Mark (Natasha) Leydecker, Criss (David) Troast, Col. Edward (Gwen) Lombard, and Jennifer Lombard; and great grandchildren, Alexandra, Carson, Derek, Conrad, Margaret, Elena, and Finlay.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Lombard in 2007.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail So., Bonita Springs, FL 34134.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of the Ascension, 6025 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931.

Committal services and burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Moon Township, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Peg's name may be made to The Church of the Ascension or to St. Vincent de Paul Society, C/O The Church of the Ascension.

Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
